Macleay Riverbank and tributaries are a major feature of the local Landscape.
There are many issues concerning riverbank management including erosion management, stock management, riparian (river bank) vegetation and weeds management.

Macleay Landcare has provided some support in the past to landholders through external grants towards fencing costs, troughs, native plants and funds towards more complex erosion and bank stabilisation. NSW Soil Conservation Service traditionally support landholders with a more technical assessment and plan, for difficult erosion issues.
